Cash for paddling pool in Norwood Park

Suzanne and Carl at the old paddling pool in Norwood Park
Norwood Park is set to benefit from cash for a new ’splash play’ interactive paddling pool area for kids over the next twelve months.
Carl, Andrew and Suzanne have worked with the Friends of Norwood Park in their campaign for improved play facilities since the Council allowed the existing paddling pool to fall into disrepair. After years of hard work the Friends have succeeded in securing the money from a national fund.
Now there is an opportunity to have your say on the design and location. Council officers are organising a public meeting to get the views of residents and park users, expected to take place in June or July. If you are interested in receiving more information about the plans and details of the public meeting, please send us your contact details using the form below.
There are several other issues affecting Norwood Park.
Park users have been badly let down over the toilets, which have been closed for more than a year. The Council promised to repair the leaking pipes that caused the closure after we prompted them, but there is still no evidence that funding has been made available. This simply can’t go on.
We are demanding that the Council takes tough action to curb the growing menace from dangerous dogs. They must patrol our parks more effectively and work with the Police to come down hard on irresponsible dog owners. CLICK HERE for more details on our proposals.
