Save Nettlefold Hall
Labour-controlled Lambeth is considering closing the popular Nettlefold Hall. Suzanne has asked the Council for assurances, but if Labour are re-elected next May the Hall’s future is uncertain.
A report agreed by the Cabinet on 27 July made it clear that the future of Nettlefold Hall was under review and far from certain:
“The service is taking steps to determine whether to maintain this service.”
This is despite the an admission in the same documents that the facilities are in use throughout the week:
“Purpose built with West Norwood Library [the Hall] offers a unique facility in Lambeth consisting of 2 large halls… Together there is a huge range of uses for these spaces, which are currently used on most days of the week.”
Carl, Andrew and Suzanne will be fighting to protect the future of Nettlefold Hall and the important services it provides to the local community.
