Our priorities

People recognise that Conservatives are the only people actively involved in our local community. They want active local councillors who are about all year round and don’t just pop up at election time.

Carl, Andrew and Suzanne live in Gipsy Hill and regularly meet residents to discuss concerns, organise campaigns to improve our community and take up issues with the Council.

Labour Lambeth has ignored this area and spends all our council tax in their strongholds in Brixton. On 6th May you will get a chance to change this by electing Kemi Adegoke as your Conservative Member of Parliament and re-electing Conservative Councillors. It’s time that Norwood gets a fair deal and we get an MP who lives in the area and who really cares.

Carl, Andrew and Suzanne have three main priorities to improve our community in 2010.

  • Cleaner, safer streets – Norwood will be prioritised for road and pavement repairs, and there will be a crackdown on dog mess and fly-tipping.
  • Get the dustcarts out of Vale Street – Carl, Andrew and Suzanne have always opposed Labour-run Lambeth’s decision to put the dustcarts in our residential area.
  • Support for Upper Norwood Library – We will secure more money for the library and support its continued independence.
